Are your habits helping or hurting you?

Today, I’m grateful for the small, steady habits that move me closer to the person I want to be. For the conscious changes I have made and continue to make, and work on, that lead me to be the version of myself I love and appreciate.

Because here’s something we often forget: even our feelings can become habits.
The worrying, the complaining, the quick to anger and even the constant chasing of pleasure – all these emotional “settings” can become automatic patterns — repeated so often that the brain and body start expecting them.

Our brains are wired for repetition. For consistency, and if we don’t consciously shape our habits, our subconscious will do it for us — and not always in our favour.

Think about your day:
📍Do you notice your energy dips at the same time each day?
📍Do you start complaining, scrolling, or snapping in a predictable pattern?
If so, your body might be reacting to a habit loop it’s built over time — a chemical craving for either cortisol (stress) or dopamine (pleasure).

The good news? You’re not stuck with it.
You can begin to break the loop — by noticing, by interrupting it, and by consciously choosing a different response. Take a deep breath when you notice the pattern rise, then replace the moment/ feeling/ habit with a new mantra such as: “Everything is always working out for me.”
Then repeat it — daily — for at least 30 days. That’s how we rewire the brain and build habits that actually support our peace and growth.

So today, ask yourself:
🍏 What needs reviewing in my routine or mindset?
🍏 Which habits are quietly draining me?
🍏 And what new habit do I want to choose — starting today?

To make changes to our lives, we have to change our mindset, reframe the way we have lived up until now; if you are ready to do so, get in touch with me to find out about my online coaching sessions and workshops on 0726594055
